Who We Are

Drs. Enyinna and Brittany Nwachuku’s love story is a testament to the unity of shared vision, values, and perspective. Their profound dedication to philanthropy has driven them to focus on assisting widows and widowers, with plans to extend their outreach to other deserving areas. Both Enyinna and Brittany have personally encountered the loss of a parent, affording them a distinctive comprehension of the difficulties confronted by widows and widowers, thus shaping their outlook on life.

Our Mission

The EB Nwachuku Foundation aims to assist the grieving process by offering financial aid of up to $5,000 for funeral expenses, debt reduction, associated medical bills, and relocation fees. The EB Nwachuku Foundation collaborates with individuals and community partners to ensure all communities feel supported as they navigate life after loss.

Meet the Founders

Dr. Enyinna Nwachuku

Dr. Enyinna L. Nwachuku, MD, is the youngest of five siblings. He was born in Nigeria and later migrated to the United States in 1997. He completed his formal higher education at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in 2010. Dr. Nwachuku received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2015 and completed a seven-year neurosurgical surgery training program in 2022.

Currently, Dr. Nwachuku holds the position of Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery. Dr. Nwachuku's expertise in neurosurgery is highly regarded, and he is recognized for his exceptional contributions to the field. 

Dr. Nwachuku is happily married to his esteemed wife, Dr. Brittany Nwachuku, and together, they are proud parents of their son. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, going to the cinema, and golfing. Dr. Nwachuku is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, which he holds in high regard.

Dr. Brittany Nwachuku

Dr. Brittany Nwachuku, LCSW, LISW-S, is an Assistant Professor of Social Work with extensive experience in medical and mental health settings. She has clinical experience working with diverse populations, including juvenile probation, foster care youth, school social work, private practice, and oncology healthcare settings.

In addition to providing clinical and administrative supervision to social work students, interns, and professionals, Dr. Nwachuku has facilitated a wide range of support groups, educational lectures, and professional development for staff on best practices for diverse and underserved patient populations.

Dr. Nwachuku is a member of the executive committee for the Council on the Role and Status of Women (CORSW) at the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and serves on the advisory council for She’s the First. She is actively involved in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, where she serves on her chapter’s executive board and the program development committee for Stewart's Cancer Place. Additionally, she has obtained a certificate in women’s leadership from Yale University and is a Qualified Administrator (QA) of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). Her research focuses on equity and inclusion, psychosocial oncology care, grief and bereavement, and women's health disparities.

Dr. Nwachuku stresses the importance of self-care and taking proactive steps to maintain a good quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys being a "boy mom", reading, spending time with friends and family, traveling with her husband, listening to music, and laughing uncontrollably.
